Categories
Adult (18+) or Master (35+)
White Belt – up to 2 years experience
Blue Belt – up to 4 years experience
Purple, Brown, Black Belt – 4 years+ experience
If you are graded in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you should compete at your belt level. If you train in a different grappling art, or primarily without the gi, you should enter the relevant experience category. Judo black belts, professional MMA fighters, and international level wrestlers are not allowed to compete in the white belt division. Anyone found to be entering a division below their appropriate experience level will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
Male Weight Divisions: Rooster (-55.5kg), Light Feather (-61.5kg), Feather (-67.5kg), Light (-73.5kg), Middle (-79.5kg), Medium Heavy (-85.5kg), Heavy (-91.5kg), Super Heavy (-97.5kg), Ultra Heavy (+97.5kg).
Female Weight Divisions: Light Feather (-51.5kg), Feather (-56.5kg), Light (-61.5kg), Middle (-66.5kg), Medium Heavy (-71.5kg), Heavy (+71.5kg).
Uniform Requirements
Board shorts (without pockets) or vale tudo shorts and a rashguard of any colour should be worn. Tshirts, spats and groin guards are not permitted.

Note: Purple, Brown & Black Belt combined divisions will compete under black belt rules in 6 minute matches.

We will offer a full refund in the event that we are unable to match you for your division.
No other refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Absolute Divisions
There will be an Intermediate (white/blue mixed) absolute division and an Elite (purple/brown/black mixed) absolute division. You must medal in your weight division to qualify for the absolute.
The winner of the male intermediate absolute division and the winner of the male elite absolute division will be awarded a Kleos War Hammer.
The Respect Rule
This event has a zero tolerance policy regarding inappropriate behaviour by coaches, parents/guardians, spectators and competitors.
All in attendance must show some restraint when their students or team mates are fighting. There will be competitors and spectators of all ages at this event and we are here to set an example.
Any swearing, inappropriate gestures, violence (towards person or property) or berating the officials (regardless of any decisions they make) will not be tolerated.
If this happens, the referee/organiser has the right to disqualify that competitor, or to ask the person concerned to leave the area. If those concerned do not comply with the referee/organisers request the competitor will be disqualified from the event.
If a coach, parent or team mate encroaches onto the mat, or past any barriers that are in place, or man handles an official in any way, that person will be asked to leave the venue and the whole team may not be permitted to take any further part in the competition.
